John Hanc’s Book, Not Dead Yet, Receives National ASJA Award

Hanc wrote Not Dead Yet--about Type 1 diabetic and professional bike racer Phil Southerland, with support from Dean Roger Yu, Don Fizzinoglia and Richard Pizer in the form of a 2010 Scholar Incentive Award.  The book, which was published in May, 2011 by Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin's Press, won honorable mention in the  Memoirs category of the 2012 American Society of Journalists and Authors annual writing competition.  

The awards dinner is on April 26th in NYC.
