Faculty Achievements

Beverly J. Butcher, Ph.D., associate professor of English, NUPT-NYIT International College, Nanjing Campus presented her paper “Ancestor Veneration in Taiwan’s Catholic Church,” at The Origins, Transformation and Development of  Taiwan’s Maritime Cultures: An International Conference of Taiwan Studies, held on May 27, 2011 at National Chiao Tung University, Hsin-Chu City, Taiwan.  An extended version of her paper (Proceedings (I) (21 pages), was published by the Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences at the National Chiao Tung University in May of 2011. 

In addition, Dr. Butcher presented “The Philadelphia Chinatown Gateway Reconsidered” at the Crossing Borders: Traveling, Teaching, and Learning in a Global Age Interdisciplinary Multicultural International Conference, held on April 16, 2011 at NYI T in Nanjing, China.
