NYIT has challenged and pushed me to do the best that I can. Coming to NYIT to study architecture was one of the most important decisions of my life, and one that I will always value. I have enjoyed every second of this experience so far, and everyone has made me feel like part of the NYIT community.
As an international student, NYIT has become my new home. There is always someone I can rely on when I need help, whether I need advice about academics, internships, or jobs. If I am sick, there is always someone willing to help out or somewhere I can go.
NYIT has also provided me with the opportunity to become a resident assistant in its residence halls as well as a peer advisor and mentor. These positions have helped me grow personally and intellectually. I cannot imagine experiencing them anywhere other than here.
There are many campus events organized by clubs and organizations that do an excellent job of making student life more entertaining while helping others. A personal favorite of my mine is Relay for Life. By volunteering for Relay for Life, I have helped others, made a lot of friends, and experienced things that I will never forget. I am so proud of being part of NYIT; this place has become my new home away from home.
