The members of the newly formed Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE) National Honor Society hit the ground running this semester, or should I say walking? After settling into the fall semester and electing their Executive Board, the members of XAE decided to take part in the Making Strides Walk Against Breast Cancer, which was held on October 16th in Central Park. In only 5 short days the members of XAE raised over $200 to help The American Cancer Society in the fight against breast cancer. XAE members and other NYIT students woke up in the wee hours of a chilly Sunday morning to join the crowds of thousands walking in the fight against breast cancer. Several hours and many sore feet later, the members of Chi Alpha Epsilon crossed the finish line, proudly completing their first community service project. A special thanks to all who walked and those who contributed to the fundraising efforts.
