Summer Fun (and Learning) in the City

New York, N.Y. (June 21, 2011) – NYIT offers summer programs for students of all ages to discover the fields of architecture, design, engineering, and technology in studios overlooking Central Park. 

These courses are designed for high school juniors and seniors or professionals considering a career change to explore these fields in an interactive environment.

Architecture and Design
July 6 – Aug. 1

The four-week program includes design projects, focused workshops, reading seminars, guest lectures, walking tours, office visits, and exhibitions. The course emphasizes experimentation and exploration through practice, theory, and history. Students will receive three college credits.

Engineering and Technology
July 12 – July 21

The Career Discovery Course in Engineering and Technology allows students to run guided, hands-on experiments in game development, robotics, and electronic music. For two weeks, students will take trips to explore technologies throughout New York City and meet with guest lecturers for advice and insights. Students will receive two college credits.
