NYIT Hosts Hundreds of Students at Open Houses

Open House Crowd in Gym

Old Westbury, N.Y.  (November 8, 2011)  ̶  NYIT’s Old Westbury and Manhattan campuses hosted the largest crowds in recent years at two Open House events for prospective students and their families.

More than 1,400 visitors – including 700 students – toured the campuses in late October and last Sunday.  Faculty members and teams of volunteers discussed NYIT’s schools, award-winning programs, and offerings from the Office of Career Services to the Student Solutions Center.  Under sunny skies and, in Old Westbury, spectacular fall color, student ambassadors led walking tours and visitors admired classrooms, labs, and other campus facilities.

Admissions and financial aid experts were on hand to present key information, including NYIT’s distribution of $35 million in scholarship and grants this year and its average class size of 20.
