NYIT Cyber Security Expert Tells Us How to Protect Ourselves Online

New York, N.Y. (April 28, 2011) – Dr. Paul Stirpe, advisor to NYIT’s School of Engineering and Computing Sciences, told viewers how to protect themselves from hackers on PIX11 Morning News on April 28.

The former computer science professor at NYIT addressed the current situation with Sony’s PlayStation Network, in which personal data and was stolen from tens of millions of users of its online game and movie service, as well as its on-demand digital music service.

Stirpe was a major contributor in the creation of computer science and security programs at NYIT, and was a speaker at NYIT’s first Cyber Security Conference in Sept. 2010. He is the founder of Letse, LLC, a global software and services corporation with offices in New York and Kolkata, India, and more than 10 years of business in financial services.
