NYIT Auditorium on Broadway Gets a Makeover

New York, N.Y. (July 13, 2011) –  The NYIT Auditorium on Broadway – a popular venue for film festivals, red carpet premiers, and executive conferences – is closing for six weeks of renovations that will improve event experience and upgrade reception areas.

NYIT will install a sound system in the reception areas for music and announcements, as well as flat screen televisions in the two green rooms to simulcast events. The food prep area, control room, and bathrooms will be redone as well.

Since opening in the fall of 2010, the 262-seat auditorium has hosted events featuring actors Michael Douglas, Julianna Margulies, Neil Patrick Harris, and Kim Cattrall, as well as NYIT’s 21st-Century Leaders Lecture Series, among other events.

The improved auditorium opens Aug. 23, with a busy schedule of lectures, private screenings, celebrity events, and cocktail parties. NYIT’s second cyber security conference will be held on Sept. 15, to explore widespread security breaches within government and business systems.
