OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. (Dec. 18, 2013) -
The NYIT community filled Recreation Hall last Friday night with laughing children, triumphant cheers, sparkles, and school pride as the NYIT Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation hosted its seventh annual "Night Out on the Bears" community engagement event.
East Coast Conference member schools, Dowling College and Molloy College, joined in this year's festivities with "Night Out on the Lions" events on their respective campuses on the same evening. The event allows parents from the schools' local communities the opportunity to have an evening out after dropping off their children in a fun environment with activities run by student-athletes.
