Roy Boecke is 68 year old man, born in 1943, currently living in Bayside, Queens, New York. When Mr. Boecke was 18, he moved into New York City and attended Columbia University. His original major was Chemistry and he ultimately received a fellowship to obtain his MS and PhD in this subject. Mr. Boecke changed his major, earning a Master’s Degree in Social Work instead and became employed by Manhattan State Psychiatric Hospital. He currently is employed as a computer engineer in Information Builders, a large software company in Manhattan.
Although Roy has never married or had children, he is an integral part of his two nieces’ lives, and provides support and stability to them in many ways. He has a passion for many social events including; the opera, family gatherings, and traveling around the world with friends and family. He is an active reader, enjoys nature is a patron of the fine arts. These activities enrich his social life as well as his mental health and continue to sustain his youthful demeanor as he increases in age.
