I am choosing to nominate my Grandmother, Manjula Patel, and believe she is a prime example of someone who is aging with vitality. At 81 years old she continues to commit to a healthy lifestyle which includes watching her dietary habits, staying active by exercising to the best of her abilities as well as having a positive outlook on life. Although she has diabetes, hypertension and arthritis, my Grandmother always seems to have a smile on her face and continues to lead our family as the oldest and definitely most important member. She does many things around the house, and also goes for walks outside in the summer time to help her stay active. I truly believe she is a great role model who continues to value her health and life by remaining active and staying positive.
