John Rezac

I am nominating my grandfather who was a very kind, loving and giving man. He would always listen to your troubles. He was not prejudice nor judgmental. He came from poverty. He had three brothers and three sisters. His father was a carpenter who did not make a lot of money, especially to support such a large family. My grandfather overcame financial hardship.

He got married and traveled to many places which kept him young and alive. His diabetes and hypertension never stopped him from doing anything from doing chores to cleaning the house. He took daily walks around the block or in his backyard garden. He was the caregiver to my grandmother who is bed ridden. He tended to her every need - physically and mentally. This was his purpose to stay alive.

My grandfather passed away April 18, 2013. He was 84 years old. He was a great man.
