CALL FOR ENTRIES:
The Commute, or On Commuting, an exhibition of work by NYIT staff, students and faculty-
NYIT Gallery 61, 16 West 61st, January 30 – February 27, 2014
While shuttling to and fro, during the AM/PM trip what inspires you? What observed event/building/people/billboard/landscape/daydream stimulates you to an impulse of creativity? Capture this momentary stimulus and describe it. Does a recurring pleasing aroma raise your senses to the point of action: and if so what are they? Commuting done easily can permit one to retreat into a creative space as an insulation from the sea of fellow travelers; during that period inspiration arrives suddenly, without warning: describe what you see. Any media can be used.
The deadline for submissions is January 15. If you have questions about this exhibit or the presentation of your work, please contact Jennifer Mitchell firstname.lastname@example.org
Everyone is encouraged to participate.
