Take your digital art portfolio to the next level by attending NYIT’s 2-week intensive pre-college workshop in the Fine Arts Department. This educational and fun workshop will give you insights into the professions of art, design, and technology. Under the guidance of our distinguished faculty and utilizing our state-of-the-art facilities equipped with the latest technologies, you will explore techniques of visual communication while producing hands-on, portfolio-ready artwork.
During this digital art production workshop you will:
Conceptualize and use visual language to communicate messages and ideas clearly and effectively; merge traditional and digital tools to create powerful design solutions utilizing photography, illustration and typography. In this workshop, students will design a logo and overall identity for a potential client or for themselves. For inspiration, they will visit a professional design studio in New York City.
Collaborate in production teams to explore the complex workflow and dynamic interactivity of 3-Dimensional games. In this workshop, students will capture live motion through the use of our 3-D Motion Capture studio; animate and edit those movements using Autodesk Maya; and incorporate animated elements into a game environment.
