There were over 150 attendees at the first NYIT Film and Animation Festival held on May 16th, 2014 at the Auditorium on Broadway. Organized by Fine Arts and Communication Arts, and sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences, this exciting event screened a variety of films and animations created by NYIT students' works, including all global campuses. The festival showcased short films and animations throughout the day and ran from 2PM-7PM followed by a pizza reception. From 2-6PM, the program showcased 1-minute films, short films, animations, Q and A, and special presentations by professional film maker and NYIT alumni, and the Fine Arts Department's Animation program took place from 6-7PM.
Special thanks go to the industry professionals who served as jury members and voted for winners in a variety of categories: Rik Cordero, Kweighbaye Kotee, Donald Fizzinoglia, Lin Tan, Kevin Brownie, Ashley Gerst, Margalit Neusner, and John Mattiuzzi.
Congratulations to the winners!! And, having the work selected for this year's festival was competitive, so all participants should feel proud of their accomplishments and hard work! Congratulations, NYIT students!

In addition, Fine Arts seniors in Professor Robert Smith's class exhibited their 3D-printed sculptures and storyboards in the Auditorium on Broadway.
