Biography
Kristen Panella has more than 12 years of professional experience in the environmental health and safety field. With a background in geology and environmental management, he has worked on numerous EPA Superfund sites, as well as emergency hazardous material spill cleanup sites.
Joining NYIT in 2005, Panella oversees all health and safety issues on NYIT’s New York campuses. He is consulted on issues relating to the general counsel, real estate, insurance, budgeting, and construction projects, in addition to normal operations and maintenance activities. He also teaches courses in the Environmental Technology Masters and Continuing Education Programs.
Panella received his bachelor’s degree in environmental geosciences at Stony Brook University, and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in environmental technology at NYIT.
