Biography
Carol Caico, Ph.D., N.P., has more than 20 years of professional and teaching experience in all women’s health issues, depression, and bereavement. She has led research on a perimenopause and menopause support program.
Caico received the Dean’s Award for Standard of Excellence at NYIT. She is currently a peer reviewer for the American Journal for Nurse Practitioners, and a nurse practitioner at Long Island Women’s Healthcare. She previously worked at private practices and hospitals on Long Island, and was an adjunct clinical educator at Adelphi University and Nassau Community College before joining NYIT in 2003.
She received her Ph.D. in health and human services from Columbia Commonwealth University, post-master’s degree in the nurse practitioner program at Stony Brook University, and her master’s degree in human relations at NYIT. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing at New York State Regents College, and associate degree in nursing at Nassau Community College.
