"Any activity becomes creative when the doer cares about doing it right or better." - John Updike
Every now and then, I meet a student here at NYIT who is into graphic design, and whenever I do, the first thing I admittedly and unwarrantedly think to myself is, "There's no way he/she is better at it than I am." Fortunately, me and my novice skills are often proven wrong! I imagine there are many more students in this school who are skilled in graphic design. If you are one of them, then here's a chance for you to lend your abilities toward something good.
The ActNow Foundation is a non-profit company that provides a platform for ethnically and racially diverse filmmakers, producers, writers, and actors, whose productions focus on the full range of African-American & Latino experiences. They are currently looking for volunteers to design festival posters, fliers, newsletters, and other promotional materials for print and web.
