Internship Certificate Program - Orientation II
I-Skate for Ghana, a fundraising event, took place on Thursday, April 12, 2012, where numerous clubs from NYIT-Old Westbury, including Phi Eta Sigma, Face Aids, G.I.V.E, Muslim Student Association and Students for Global Health, collaborated to raise funds for The Rohde Foundation. This event took place at the Port Washington Ice Skating center from 6:30-8:30pm and had approximately 120 attendees who came to show their support for this excellent cause. With the help of 10 volunteers who worked on organizing this event, the clubs raised $850 for the foundation which will go to provide equitable and comprehensive health care in rural Africa. The Community Service Center- Old Westbury would like to congratulate these clubs for a wonderful job and hopes to see similar events continue in the near future.
