- Men's basketball team won the 1995 ECAC Division II championship with a 74-69 victory over Pace University.
- Men's team competed in 1980 NCAA Division II National Championship game, losing to Virginia Union University 80-74; the team also appeared in 1978 NCAA tournament.
- Kelvin Hicks, men's team member, was selected as NCAA Division II All-American three years straight: 1978-80. He went on to play 12 professional seasons in Switzerland.
