Faculty Assessment Day

NYIT’s fall Assessment Day for faculty members will be held on Wednesday, August 30. All NYIT faculty members are invited to join Mark Hampton, vice president of Planning Analytics and Decision Support.

MORNING SESSION

10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Old Westbury: Harry Schure Hall Auditorium (overflow DL 2)
Manhattan: Edward Guiliano Global Center, DL 706 & 702 (7th floor)

Agenda:

• Report on AY 16–17 academic program assessment reports.
• Discussion of Middle States requirements for program-level learning outcomes assessment, and expectations for future academic program assessment.
• Report on AY 16–17 oral communication assessment results and discussion of AY 17–18 information literacy assessment initiative.
• Discussion of NYIT strategic planning and Middle States Self-Study Design.

AFTERNOON SESSION

1 – 3 p.m.

Individual School/College Assessment Day Meetings

Under the leadership of deans and department chairs, and in the interest of ensuring that all program-level learning outcomes assessment meets Middle States expectations, assessment committee members will facilitate a self-evaluation of Department Assessment Reports using a rubric developed by the NYIT Assessment Committee 2017.
