The full particulars for the camp (as taken from our flyer) are given below.

Come back to this page often to read more about our camp in this UPDATE section!

Are you a high school student with an interest in technology, engineering or computer science? If so, you can explore an exciting and challenging career path, while earning two college credits in a two-week Career Discovery Camp in Technology and Engineering at NYIT’s Manhattan campus.

This fun and informative camp will give you insight into the very essence of these stimulating professions. For starters, you will run a number of guided, hands-on laboratory experiments in workshops in game development, hacking, robotics, and electronic music.

  • Includes field trips where you will explore 21st-century technologies in the heart of New York City.
  • Guest speakers with years of experience will share their personal stories about the technology/engineering workplace.
  • Members of the NYIT faculty and staff will describe a student’s life at NYIT for those enrolled in our undergraduate programs.

Lunch will be given to all campers on a daily basis, where each camper can make a daily choice from a sandwich menu provided by BreadSoul Cafe, a local gourmet shop that caters daily lunch for our campers. At the end of the camp, NYIT Career Service and Admissions teams will give presentations on what NYIT can offer to them as students.

NYIT's School of Engineering and Computing Sciences offers degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology, and Telecommunications network management.
