Technology Summer Camp in Midtown Manhattan

Are you a high school junior with an interest in technology, engineering or computer science? If so, you can explore an exciting and challenging career path, while earning two college credits in a two-week Career Discovery Camp in Technology and Engineering at NYIT’s Manhattan campus.

This fun and informative camp will give you insight into the very essence of these stimulating professions. For starters, you will run a number of guided, hands-on laboratory experiments in workshops workshops in game development, robotics and electronic music.

  • Includes field trips where you will explore 21st-century technologies in the heart of New York City.
  • Guest speakers with years of experience will share their personal stories about the technology/engineering workplace.
  • Members of the NYIT faculty and staff will describe a student’s life at NYIT for those enrolled in our undergraduate programs.

NYIT's School of Engineering and Computing Sciences offers degrees in computer science, information technology, electrical and computer engineering, engineering management, mechanical engineering, electrical and computer engineering technology, and telecommunications network management.

  • Credits earned in the summer program are applicable to any NYIT degree in these majors.
  • NYIT's Manhattan campus is easily accessible by bus, subway, or train.
  • Nearby discounted parking is also available.
Tuition and Fees: $1,800
Limited scholarship funds are available based on merit and need
Credits: Two college credits
Dates: Session 1: July 9 - July 20 (M-F), 2012
or Session 2: July 23 - August 3 (M-F)
