Position Title: Intern, Learning Design

Position Summary:

As an intern within the Learning Design team, all activities performed by this position will be in direct support of JetBlue University (JBU) and JetBlue learning development. Specific responsibilities including supporting, developing and reviewing the quality (QA) of learning solutions in a variety of media including but not limited to: video shoot/edit, graphic design, eLearning, social learning, mobile learning, and classroom content. Other tasks may include some photography, SharePoint development, image editing and video compression.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides support to end-users on eLearning authoring tools and course release
  • Develops various training solutions, including but not limited to eLearning, video, multimedia, classroom content and social learning
  • Troubleshooting and quality reviews of courseware and products
  • Writes and organizes content in SharePoint
  • Administrative tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a related field (Learning Technology, Instructional Technology or Multimedia)
  • Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Skilled in quickly adopting authoring tools
  • Skilled in basic video development an compression
  • Skilled in writing and organizing content
  • Skilled in developing a project from start to finish such as:
  • Understanding of Instructional design and technology
  • Able to plan and execute small projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong visual design skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to effectively work in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
  • Attentive to detail

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion


  • Computer and other office equipment

Work Environment:

  • Normal office environment
  • Present for core business hours

Physical Effort:

Generally not required, or up to 20 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently.
