Face-to-Face @ New York Tech

Join us for classes at our New York City and Long Island campuses. Day, evening, and weekend class schedules help you to pursue your degree at your convenience.

Pros

  • Apply for student worker or research assistant positions on campus to help pay tuition.
  • Access school facilities and equipment, including computer labs, STEM ed lab, iPads and mobile devices, software such as Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline.
  • Interact with advisors, program chairs, and professors in person.
  • Establish study groups with classmates on campus.

Cons

  • You must physically attend classes.
  • In-person class instruction is more expensive than online options or courses offered at teacher centers.

Recommended if you are:

  • Someone who prefers a traditional classroom setting and lives in the New York City or Long Island area.
  • An international student studying in the U.S.

Face-to-Face/Online Hybrid @ Teacher Centers

Looking for more flexibility? Our partnership with several New York-based teacher centers allows you to combine conveniently located classes with online coursework for many of our degree programs.

  • Tuition costs less than attending classes on New York Tech campus.
  • Interact with professors, advisors, and classmates through email, phone, videoconferencing, and social media.
  • Access online New York Tech library resources.
  • Blended format offers in-person classroom learning as well as online components that fit your schedule.

Cons

  • No New York Tech student worker opportunity.
  • You must physically attend classes once per week.
  • No access to New York Tech’s equipment and facilities.

Recommended if you are:

  • A New York state-certified teacher who lives in the New York City area or upstate.

Fully Online

Want the freedom to pursue your degree when and where you choose? Our online programs allow you take courses at any time of day and from anywhere in the U.S.

Pros

  • Tuition is more affordable than in-person classes.
  • Learn at your own pace any time of day.
  • Interact with professors, advisors, and classmates through email, phone, videoconferencing, and social media.
  • Access online New York Tech library resources.
  • Interact with professors and classmates through our Blackboard online learning tool at least three times a week.

Cons

  • No New York Tech student worker opportunity.
  • No access to New York Tech equipment and facilities.

Recommended if you are:

  • A U.S. resident (study online from anywhere in the country).
  • Prefer the flexibility of a 24/7 online curriculum to fit your schedule.
