What You’ll Learn

The Data Science, M.S. is designed for students with a computer science or related background interested in pursuing data analytics, machine learning, visualization, and more. You'll learn how to employ data science concepts and methods to solve problems in business and scientific contexts and communicate these solutions effectively. You'll study computing theory, languages, and algorithms, and use mathematical and statistical models to formulate and implement data analyses and learn to apply them ethically.

Our practical curriculum incorporates case studies in advanced topics of computer architecture from classic and modern processors, including large-scale systems. You may also participate in sponsored research projects alongside faculty members from funding sources such as the Department of Defense.

You can complete this program on campus or you can graduate in as few as 10 months and for less tuition when you earn your degree online.

How You’ll Succeed

You can receive specialized training in commercialization and entrepreneurship via the Entrepreneurial and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC), New York Tech’s hub for trailblazing fresh ideas in technology, engineering, and applied science. You may also choose to complete a thesis as part of your degree, which can help you gain specialized skills and knowledge to better qualify you for research and development jobs.

International F-1 students who successfully complete this degree are eligible for an additional 24-month STEM OPT extension to work in the U.S. in an area directly related to their area of study immediately upon completing the customary 12-month post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT).
