About Event
Branding is not a one-way proposition anymore, and consumers are not cluttered at last in front of their TV's like fish in a fish bowl waiting for the picking. People are everywhere now, online, on their cell phones and in places that bring real experiences. Brands cannot push their goods to people without understanding the impact their marketing will have on society or understand the context in which those goods or services will be sold. A new dialogue needs to take place and past strategies are just not relevant in a world where brand building happens in social media.

Marc Gobé is a designer, writer, film maker, and brand strategist that has captured this change in his 2010 revised edition of Emotional Branding. Inspired by his travels around the planet for the past 3 years ( he is filming a new documentary to be release in 2011) Marc Gobé will share the following:

  • How brands impact cities and countries visually.
  • How leading thinkers, marketers and Designers are influencing and changing the way we see our world
  • How people in the margins of society such as graffiti artists become consultants to major brands in order to bring their spirit of rebellion into the corporate ivory towers
  • How Shepard Fairey the street artist that designed the now famous Obama poster and created support for the candidate in social media is telling us a thing or two about younger generations and their need to impact their world ( exclusive video interview will be shown )
  • How science and design are becoming best friends in bringing new solutions in a time of crisis

His presentation will change your perception of the world and your world.
