NYIT’s Microsoft Competition Kick-Off featured Andrew Parsons, Academic Developer Evangelist with Microsoft, who held workshops and meetings with students and faculty on both the Manhattan and Old Westbury campuses on February 1.
About Imagine Cup
Change the world? Sure, it’s a pretty big task. But with your knowledge, creativity, and passion, Bill Gates and Microsoft think you’re up for the challenge. Take equal parts inspiration and imagination and you can do amazing things. Students from around the world are invited to register for the Imagine Cup Solve This Competition, in which the brightest young minds join together and, using technology, take on some of our planet’s most pressing challenges.
Beginning with local and regional competitions, Imagine Cup 2011 comes to an exciting finale at the Worldwide Finals held in New York on July 8-13. Want more chances to win? Sign up to compete in additional challenges. Overall, the idea is to show how technology can help solve the world’s toughest problems. And the solution? Well, that’s entirely up to you—and your imagination.
