Overview and Schedule

Commencement begins at 8:30 a.m. on May 19, 2013 with the college-wide Main Commencement Ceremony (approximately two hours), which takes place in the Main Tent (parking lot in front of tennis courts). This ceremony is followed by the individual school ceremonies (except the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine Hooding which is held on Monday, May 20, 2013) where graduates are individually recognized.

8 a.m. Parking lots open and shuttle service begins

8:30 a.m. Student processional into main tent begins
   
9 a.m. Webcast link activated at nyit.edu/commencement
   
9:30 a.m. Commencement ceremony begins
   
11:15 a.m. Commencement ceremony ends
   
11:30 a.m. School ceremonies begin

School ceremonies take place in separate tents in close proximity to the main tent. Please look for the large color banners on each tent for your specific school.
