In your junior year (63-96 credits), focus on career preparation via:

Office of Career Services Resources

  • Speak with a counselor about how to develop alternative career plans in case your original career plans do not work out.
  • Attend career workshops, expos and job fairs.

  • Begin to network through the alumni mentor program, your department and professional organizations.

  • Update your resume and bring it in for review.

Academic Resources

  • Register for the Career Success Seminar to develop the skills to manage your career…and for the Internship Success Seminar if you did not attend during sophomore year.
  • Join and a take a leadership role in student, departmental, and professional organizations both on- and off-campus.

Extracurricular Activities

  • Test your career decision commitment and qualifications for your chosen field by participating in career-related internships, and summer or part-time employment.
  • Assess your career choice in relation to your values, strengths, interests, and career goals.
  • Inventory your qualifications for your chosen field of work, and work on weaknesses.
