As an F-1, student you have the opportunity to gain work experience to complement your education. You may be eligible for Curricular Practical Training while you are completing your studies and Optional Practical Training after you graduate. You must see an International Student Adviser on your campus to find out about your eligibility status.

Foreign Labor Certification Data Center: a searchable, free H1B database.

H1B Visa Employers Database: listings of employers who have recently filed the appropriate paperwork to sponsor an international person for an H1B visa. Disco International New York Career Forum for Japanese-English bilingual students. Held every February in New York City.
