Alpha Chi Rho has supported and shaped the "moral, intellectual, and social development" of its members since it was founded over 115 years ago.
The Eta Chi Phi chapter was founded at NYIT in Spring 1990, and has been an active part of campus life for over 20 years now.
Being a Brother of Alpha Chi Rho offers a great opportunity to be active on campus and really take full advantage of all the events and great opportunities NYIT has to offer.
Over the years, our Brothers have proudly helped shape our school by being Resident Assistants, Student Government Senators, and leaders in our Greek Life Community.
Every year, we host everything from social events (our annual Salsa Night each Fall) to fun educational events (our Don't Fertilize the Egg Hunt provides hundreds of free condoms and safe sex information) to community service and philanthropy events (each year we raise more and more money for Relay for Life).
As a leading force on campus, Alpha Chi Rho aims take our organization to the next level each year with fresh ideas, fun programs, and of course... NEW BROTHERS!!
Alpha Chi Rho is a National male collegiate fraternity whose purpose is to enhance the lifelong intellectual moral, and social development of its members through the guidance of its landmarks.
- Membership from among those who are prepared to realize in word and deed the Brotherhood of all men.
- The insistence on a high and clean moral standard.
- The paramount duty of Brotherly love among members.
- Judgement not by externals, but by intrinsic worth; no one is denied membership into Alpha Chi Rho because of race, creed, or nationality
