Clubs and Organizations

Do you love theater or film? Have political aspirations? Enjoy spending time with other students from your ethnic background? You're sure to find a club or organization that fits your interests—and you'll make some great new friends in the process. Clubs are open to all NYIT students who have an interest in the organization’s activities. For more information on any of these clubs, e-mail the Office of Student Activities

Following is a list of some of NYIT’s student organizations. If you don’t see a club that fits your needs, let us know; new clubs are continually forming. You can find important information about forming or running your own club by reading the Student Organization Handbooks, the New Club Registration guidelines, and Returning Club Registration guidelines (downloadable PDFs).

ADDO
Interested in graphic design or computer graphics? ADDO is a meeting ground for those who are passionate about using text and imagery to enhance communication. The club is separated into two parts, Graphic Designers and Computer Graphics. The club’s graphic designers create logos and artwork to enter in national competitions. Likewise, the computer graphics artists create animations to enter in competitions such as MetroCAF, the NYC Metropolitan Area College Computer Animation Festival.

American Institute for Architecture Students (AIAS)
NYIT’s AIAS chapter is committed to serving as the voice for architecture students at NYIT. A national organization, AIAS provides students with the opportunity to network with their peers from other colleges and universities.
