Student complaints can be initiated for both academic and non-academic concerns.  For more information on NYIT’s internal complaint procedures, please refer to the Resolve a Complaint page.

United States Department of Education Regulation 34 CFR § 668.43(b) requires institutions of higher education that are authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act to provide its students or prospective students with contact information for filing complaints with its accreditor and with its State approval or licensing entity and any other relevant State official or agency that would appropriately handle a student's complaint.

In accordance with the above, if a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached internally, complaints may be filed with the New York State Education Department, Office of Higher Education as follows:
