Mandatory for All First-Year Students

AlcoholEdu is an exciting online alcohol education and prevention program that all NYIT first-year students are required to complete. Completion of Part 1 and 2, including achieving a grade of at least 75 on the AlcoholEdu exam, is a college requirement, as well as a requirement for completing NYIT 101.

Prizes:
Finish Parts 1 and 2 and you will be entered into a raffle drawing for prizes, including the Apple iPod TOUCH!

Schedule:

  • AlcoholEdu Part 1 Opens: Aug. 17, 2009
  • Part 1 Deadline: Sept. 8, 2009
  • Part 2 Deadline: Nov. 7, 2009 

Amount of time to complete Part 1:
Approximately 2.5 hours. You can complete Part 1 in multiple sittings.

  • Required: All new NYIT students must complete Parts 1 and 2 of AlcoholEdu.
  • Transfer Students are not required to take AlcoholEdu.

  1. Login at left with your NYIT username and password.
  2. At a registration page you may be asked for additional information to complete the creation of your account.
  3. You may login and logout of the course at the end of each section. Section ends are marked with a "Next" button. Do NOT log out until you click the "Next" button or you will have to repeat the section you have just done.
  4. To return to AlcoholEdu and log back into your account, always return to: www.nyit.edu/alcoholedu
