Florencia Vetcher holds a Master of Architecture from Princeton University, where she studied under Kazuyo Sejima at her architecture firm SANAA, Jesse Reiser of Reiser+Umemoto, and Elizabeth Diller of Diller Scofidio + Renfro. In 2003, Vetcher earned her Diploma of Architecture from the Universidad de Belgrano in Buenos Aires and studied at the prestigious ETSAB (Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona) as a visiting scholar.

She has taught at the Architectural Association in London, the Pratt Institute School of Architecture, the Parsons School of Design School of Constructed Environments, the School of Visual Arts, and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute School of Architecture.

In addition to teaching, Vetcher runs the architecture and interior design practice vetcher-breidfjord vb with partner Sigfus Breidfjord, working on small-scale projects in the United States, Argentina, and Iceland.

Before founding her practice, Vetcher worked on numerous high-profile projects at Miralles Tagliabue EMBT in Barcelona (now Benedetta Tagliabue—EMBT Architects), including the rehabilitation of Santa Caterina Market in Barcelona and the Enric Miralles public library. In New York, Vetcher worked for Eisenman Architects on the design of the City of Culture of Galicia in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and for Diller Scofidio + Renfro on projects for the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and the School of American Ballet in New York City.
