How to Get an Internship: Orientation I
The Psychology program focuses on the individual and the conditions that influence behavior. Students are exposed to a wide variety of topics such as human development, abnormal behavior, learning and thinking, and personality and assessment.
After students complete the B.S. program in Psychology, they are qualified to apply for graduate degrees (M.A./Ph.D.) programs in psychology. Students are encouraged to apply for externships while working towards their undergraduate degree and are also encouraged to strive for membership in NYIT’s chapter of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology. Students are also encouraged to participate in the Behavioral Science Club, which is open to all behavioral science majors.
