Cesare Earns ECC Pitcher of the Week Honors

Central Islip, N.Y. (March 11, 2008) - NYIT junior Nina Cesare (Whitestone, N.Y.) atook home East Coast Conference Pitcher Week honors as announced by the conference office today.

Cesare posted a 4-1 mark with a 1.84 ERA in five appearances last week. Cesare struck out 40 batters while allowing just six earned runs and a .194 opponent batting average in 29.1 innings. Cesare struck out a season high 12 batters in a win over Bloomfield and pitched a perfect five innings with 10 strikeouts in an 8-0 win over Chestnut Hill.
