Kevin Hennessy

2008 - Earned USILA Midfielder of the Year, USILA First Team All-American and East Coast Conference First Team All-Conference honors while helping the Bears to the 2008 Division II National Championship. Finished fourth on the team with 36 points and 16 goals and third with 20 assists.  Recorded a season-high six points, scoring three goals and passing out three assists against Seton Hill on March. 19. 

2007 -Started all 12 games, leading NYIT with 50 points, and 22 assists and finished second on the team with 28 goals and 64 ground balls. Earned the USILA Lt. Raymond J. Enners Award as the Outstanding Player in Division II, the USILA LT. Donald McLaughlin Jr. Award as the top midfielder in Division II, the East Coast Conference Player of the Year as well as STX/USILA First-Team All-America, ECC First-Team All-Conference, and ECAC Division II Men's Lacrosse All-Star honors. Ranked ninth in the nation in groundballs per game, tenth in assists per game and eleventh in points per game. Recorded at least two points in every game, at least four points in seven games and a career-high six points on two occasions. Scored three goals in the NCAA semi-finals game against Mercyhurst and scored a career-high four goals twice, against Notre Dame De Namur on Feb. 24 and Adelphi on April 14.

2006 - One of four freshman to appear in all 11 games on the season, finishing sixth on the team with 12 goals and 17 points and fourth on the team with 31 ground balls. Scored at least one goal in 10 of the 11 games he appeared in. Recorded first career goal against Pfeiffer University on Feb. 24, first career assist against  St. Andrews on Feb. 26 and scored a career high three goals and added an assist against Dowling on April 29.


West Babylon High School- Lettered in lacrosse for four years and football for three years. Earned lacrosse Team MVP and All-County honors as a junior and senior, football offensive MVP honors as a junior and was an All-Long Island selection in football as a senior. Was a member of the Empire Challenge football team in 2005.
