How do I get an enrollment verification?

You may be required by a medical insurance company, certain government agencies, or your employer to show proof of your enrollment status. To provide our students with superior customer service and convenience, NYIT has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as its agent for verification of student enrollment status. You can obtain an official Enrollment Verification Certificate online, free of charge—24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This service is not available to students who do not hold a valid social security number.

Current students can go to NYITConnect, log in, choose the NYITConnect Students tab, and click on Enrollment Verification. You will be asked to enter your NYITConnect username and password. Please follow the directions to view and print your official Enrollment Verification Certificate.
 
When providing enrollment verification to your health insurance company, remember to include policy numbers, group type (if appropriate), and any supporting/identifying documentation provided by the health insurance company so your request for verification can be processed immediately. This service is not to be used for student loans.
 
Past students and employers can go directly to the National Student Clearinghouse site in order to verify a degree or past enrollment at NYIT. Please note that there is a fee associated with using this service, and you must use a credit card to use the online verification. If you do not have a Social Security number, or do not remember the number issued to you by your campus, just put 000-00-000, and the Student Clearinghouse will contact NYIT to get that information. Do not leave SS# blank.
