The above are minimum requirements. Applicants are encouraged to enroll in courses such as calculus, comparative anatomy, genetics, physical chemistry, biochemistry, and behavioral and neurosciences. Community and hospital volunteer or professional work is another way by which applicants can demonstrate their interest in the healing profession and express their commitment.
In assessing a candidate for admission, cognitive and non-cognitive factors are considered. In keeping with its philosophy, the College of Osteopathic Medicine evaluates an applicant’s whole record, environment, initiative, and circumstances of each applicant.
The educational process at the College of Osteopathic Medicine relies heavily on modern educational technologies as well as good study and organizational skills of the students. All potential students are expected to prepare themselves accordingly.
