Applying to NYIT

As a special service, the Office of Admissions offers an “on-the-spot” admission review, and transfer credit evaluation. At this meeting, an admissions counselor will review your application and documentation. Upon your admission to NYIT, the transfer evaluations staff will review your college coursework, and decide how it fits the requirements of your NYIT major. To schedule an on-the-spot review, please contact Admissions at Office of Admissions at 516.686.7914 or 800.345.6948(NYIT), or by email at transfer@nyit.edu. This admissions review and transfer credit evaluation can usually be done in under an hour.

When you meet with an admissions counselor, please bring copies of transcripts from every college you have attended. If you have completed fewer than 24 college credits, you will also need to bring a copy of your SAT I/ACT scores (if you have taken them), and your high school records (e.g., final high school transcript). Official college transcripts are not necessary at this point, but we must receive the official documents by the second week of your first semester at NYIT.
