Robert Anderson (B.A. ’88, Communication Arts) is senior solution sales executive at SAP Fieldworks. While at New York Tech, he was involved in the radio station and “LI News Tonight.”

Dianne Baumert-Moyik (M.A. ’92, Communication Arts) is Senior Manager, Program Communications, Military Aircraft Systems Division, Aerospace Systems for Northrop Grumman Corporation, based in Falls Church, Virginia.

David Bobker (B.A. ’02, English) is Vice President, Business Development - Corporate Governance at Rivel Research Group, a market research firm located in Southport, CT.

Christine Bragan (B.F.A. ’03, Communication Arts) is Vice President, Marketing & Communications at AMC Networks, in NYC.

Christopher D. Briller (B.S. ’97, Political Science) is President of MerchantPro Express, LLC, an electronic payment company located in Woodbury, NY. A baseball player while at New York Tech, he is one of many examples of how a liberal arts education enables you to pivot in a multitude of directions.

Michele Farsi (M.F.A. ’15, Graphic Design) is a contract photographer for the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Madison Square Garden Company, and is owner/designer of Michelle Farsi Photography and Design.

Thom Gencarelli (B.F.A. ’81, Communication Arts) is Founding Chair and Professor, Communications Department at Manhattan College.

Peter Ghali (B.S. ’12, Biomedical Engineering) is a senior field service engineer with Ortho Clinical Diagnostics.

George J. Giosi (M.A. ’16, Communication Arts) is a video editor for the North American Soccer League (NASL) in the New York City area. He also is a videographer and editor for Stony Brook University and freelance video production specialist for the East Coast Conference on LI.

Leslie Gonzalez (B.F.A. ’94, Communications Arts) is a digital producer in oncology publishing.

Alex Grinshpoon (B.F.A. ’05, Fine Arts) is art director of the UX Group at Barnes and Noble. At New York Tech, he began his studies as an architecture major, then switched to Fine Arts.

Robert Kirchmeier (B.S. ’71, Mechanical Engineering) is Managing Director Business Development for RWH Myers & Company, LLC, a loss accounting firm in the NYC area.

Lorraine C. Mead (B.F.A. ’85, Communication Arts) is Senior Content Strategist at Google, an international technology company specializing in internet-related services and products that include online advertising technologies, search, cloud computing, and software, based in NYC.

Christopher Mistron (B.S. ’85, Physics) is Traffic Safety - STOP DWI Coordinator for Nassau County. A former head of New York Tech’s Student Government Association, Chris also served as an adjunct for the school at the Central Islip campus.

Elizabeth A. Nardone (B.S. ’90, General Studies, Concentration in Communications, Business and Economics,) is Deputy Chief Development Officer for the Mount Sinai Health System in NYC.

(Robert) Bob Palmeri (B.F.A ’76, Communication Arts) recently retired from his position as Director in KPMG LLP’s Advisory Services Practice.

Bani Phul-Anand (B.F.A. ’04, Graphic Design, and M.S., Communications Design) is a UX Consultant and Visual Designer for Bani Phul Design in NYC, with clients including CoolVines and Fordham University. She was an adjunct professor at New York Tech for 8 years where she taught graphic design, editorial design, package design, computer graphics, and information design.

Gary Price (B.S. ’85, Bio-Medical Engineering) is Senior Director, International Quality and Regulatory Affairs, at Henry Schein, located in Melville, NY.

Sue S. Ptacek (B.F.A. ’88, Fine Arts) is a long-time arts teacher at St. Francis Prep in Queens and later, Mepham High School in Bellmore, LI; now retired.

Michael E. Ryan (B.F.A. ’80, Mass Communications/Media Studies) is an Associate Publisher at Panache Partners, LLC/Inspired Intermedia, publishers of upscale coffee table books on New England concerns in both print and enhanced digital platforms. He is also Exhibits, Advertising and Sponsorships Manager for the Society for Disaster Medicine and Public Health in Rockville, Maryland. While at New York Tech, Ryan had a New York State Senate Externship for the Subcommittee for Small Business Concerns and was later the New York Tech New England Chapter president in the 1990s.

Michael J. Schiavetta (M.A. ’07, Communication Arts) is a Special Communications Strategist, Office of Strategic Communications and External Affairs at New York Tech and is also a self-employed writer, editor, and content producer.

Carol Silva is a Long Island broadcasting legend who began her career on WBAB Radio as a part time reporter, joined News 12 Long Island within months of its starting, began anchoring six days later, and has remained in the anchor seat of News 12’s No. 1 rated show ever since. Her interest in New York Tech is a family affair; her brother Kevin is Chair of the New York Institute of Technology Board of Trustees.

Joseph A. Umberto, Sr. (B.S. ’85, Architectural Technology) is a pre-construction project manager for the Donaldson Organization, Inc., providing services in design, new construction, renovation, and restoration throughout the New York Metro area.

Eric Weiss (B.S. ’89, Physics) is the Director of Diagnostic Medical Physics/Radiation Safety Officer at the Hackensack University Medical Center.

Brian Wrensen (B.F.A. ’10, Graphic Design) is Creative Director & Partner at Captain, LLC, a full service creative agency providing services in production, print, web, and design, located in Asbury Park, NJ.
