Jeffrey Raven was invited by a joint European Union-Bombay First initiative and ENTP-Project EAST to speak in Mumbai in November 2013 on the challenges of Mumbai as a mega-city. RAVEN A+U has been working with Project EAST since 2012 working on urban-scale initiatives in India, China and Europe. Professor Raven’s Mumbai presentation focused on low-energy cities, drawing from research and RAVEN A+U project experience in India and southeast Asia, ranging from sustainable urban design projects in Calcutta (Kolkata), recent advisory project with ENTP-Project EAST in Naya Raipur new capital city and workshops with The New Urban Vision in Mumbai and Columbia University in 2013. Also presented was RAVEN A+U’s sustainable communities work in the United States.
