The AIA Elects Professor Burton L. Roslyn, FAIA, FARA, DBIA to the Prestigious College of Fellows
Professor Burton L. Roslyn has been an assistant professor in the School of Architecture and Design since 2002. He has taught such courses as Contract Management and Environmental Site Planning.
He is an architect and president of his own firm; Roslyn Consultants, LLC as well as being 2009 President AIANYS, 2010 Chair AIA National Construction Contract Administration Knowledge Community and 2011-2014 Member AIA National Board Knowledge Committee.
The College of Fellows, as quoted by the AIA is, “developed to elevate those architects who have made a significant contribution to architecture and society and who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession. Election to fellowship not only recognizes the achievements of architects as individuals, but also their significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level.
The 2011 Jury of Fellows from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) elevated 104 AIA members to its prestigious College of Fellows. Out of a total AIA membership of over 80,000 there are fewer than 2,700 members distinguished with this honor.
The 2011 Fellows will be honored at an investiture ceremony at the 2011 National AIA Convention and Design Exposition in New Orleans on May 13, 2011.”
