Green construction has rapidly increased its share of the U.S. construction market. The number of LEED-certified buildings is growing exponentially. More and more businesses are attracted by the increased demand for green building and different incentives contribute to higher returns on investment. To explore these market trends, the Consulate General of Sweden in New York held a green building symposium on October 14 in New York City. The event included a keynote speech by Tim McEnery, Vice President of the U.S. Green Building Council, and a panel discussion,
"How to make Green Building Profitable in the U.S.," moderated by Frank Mruk, Associate Dean of NYIT School of Architecture and Design.
