Public Talk with Lama Ole Nydahl: What Happens When We Die? A Buddhist Perspective

An interdisciplinary team of NYIT architecture, engineering, and M.B.A. students will compete for more than $150K in prizes at the New York State Business Plan Competition on April 26 in Albany, N.Y. They will pitch a business plan for using recycled soda bottles as roofing material, an ongoing research collaboration between faculty and students at the School of Architecture and Design. The bottle roofing technique—known as the Soda Bottle-Interface-Bracket—could provide developing nations and relief organizations with a cost-effective, sustainable alternative for housing.
