Follow these Important Steps before your Advising Appointment:

1. Visit NYIT Connect and select NYITConnect Students.
 

• View My Restrictions. Follow the instructions for any  restrictions that appear. You will not be able to register if you have restrictions.
• View your Web Registration Appointment.
• Print and review your Program Evaluation.
  

2. Print a copy of the Registration Form. Fill in as much as  you can and bring it with you when you meet with your Academic Advisor.
3. Recognize that responsibilities as a student are to know the requirements for your degree program.
4. Make a list of questions and meet with your advisor to resolve them. Your advisor will approve your courses by signing the registration form and open your account for registration record.

Follow these Important Steps before your Registration Date:

1. Create a schedule. Select Search and Register for Sections from the NYITConnect student menu.

• Create a schedule by selecting your advised courses. 
• You may choose to select Express Registration if you know your exact schedule including Course Sections and course ID numbers.

2. Ensure that the courses you wish to take are not closed and are approved by your advisor.
3. Double-check that you are meeting your degree requirements.
4. When your Web Registration dates arrives,  log into NYITConnect and select Register and Drop Sections. Then, select Register for Previously Selected Sections. If you have been advised and you have no restrictions, you will be able to create your course schedule.
