Have you been advised but need assistance with creating your class schedule? 

Peer Advisors (PA's) are specially trained to help you with creating schedules and with navigating many other New York Tech resources. Check out their schedules here.

Do you have holds on your account but aren't sure how to resolve them? 

Below are the different types of holds that you might see on your account and the ways to resolve them:

  • Financial Hold: You have a balance from this fall semester. Contact Bursar at 516.686.7510 for assistance.
  • Admissions Hold: You may be missing your high school or former college transcripts. Contact Admissions at admissions@nyit.edu for assistance.
  • Student Must See Advisor Hold: This is your advising hold and in order to have this removed, you will need to schedule an advising appointment with your advisor to discuss your courses for next semester.
  • Immunization Hold: You have yet to submit your immunization records or they were not approved. See Immunization Policy for details.
  • Interested in some DIY (do it yourself) resources?

    Curious about your academic program's requirements? 

    Each academic program has a specially crafted semester map, which is an example of the semester-by-semester sequence of courses you might take in order to complete all the required credits for your major.

    Interested in adding a minor to complement your degree? 

    New York Tech offers several minors in various disciplines to help enhance your already valuable degree. Explore the available options and see if any would be a good fit for you and your career goals.

    Do you need help adjusting to online class management or navigating the new platforms used to deliver lectures and submit assignments? 

    New York Tech's Learning Center offers Online Learning Assistance to help you succeed this semester.

    To schedule a virtual appointment with an online learning assistant today, select: Tutoring > Online Learning Assistance > Help with Online Learning.
