Course Equivalency Guides
Course Equivalency Guides
Welcome to NYIT's course equivalency guides! We have created these guides and are sharing them with you to help you maximize your transfer credit to NYIT. Please be aware that these guides are being updated and expanded on an on-going basis. If you have any questions at all, please contact us at transfer@nyit.edu.
When using a course equivalency guide, please remember three important points:
- Prospective NYIT students should consider their intended major at NYIT; we transfer only those courses that are required for a student's major. Please review the requirements of your intended NYIT major in order to better understand how your courses may transfer. Access our college catalog to find the NYIT degree requirements.
- Please note that an equivalency in a course equivalency guide does not guarantee that a specific course will transfer. Transfer policies are always under review and are subject to change.
- If you do not find a course from your school listed in the guide, it may still transfer as a specific NYIT course. These guides contain only a selection of courses, so please ask us if you need to know about a course or courses that are not listed. Similarly, please contact us if your school is not listed among our guides and you have specific questions about course transferability.
IMPORTANT: If you are planning on transferring to NYIT in Fall 2010 or after, the below equivalencies may not apply to your transfer credit due to expected changes in NYIT's core curriculum. You are advised to contact the Evaluations Department at transfer@nyit.edu with your transfer equivalency questions.
