Transfer Students: Apply to NYIT

Freshman studentYou are considered a transfer if you are a high school graduate who has completed at least 24 college credits after high school graduation.

Apply today! Here are the ways for transfer students to apply:

To complete your application, you must also submit transcripts from all colleges you have attended.

  • Students who want to transfer to the nursing program must complete their application and submit their documents by March 1 for fall semester and October 1 for the spring semester. 
  • Students who are applying to fine arts, nursing, occupational therapy, and physical therapy have additional application requirements

To become a nonmatriculated student:
Students may take a limited number of credit-bearing undergraduate courses without being matriculated in a degree, diploma, or certificate program. Undergraduate students may not take more than 24 credits without matriculating. In order to apply as a nonmatriculated student, you may contact the Office of Admissions and complete a Nonmatriculated Application, which must then be approved by Admissions and the department(s) in which you are registering for courses.
